THE DEVELOPMENT
Six house types, eight homes, one gated setting and each one designed differently.
Paddock Walk sits just off a private leafy lane on the western edge of Burgess Hill, within a gated enclosure of eight detached homes. The town centre and its amenities are close. The South Downs National Park is on the doorstep. It is the kind of edge-of-town setting that is increasingly hard to find: genuinely private, with open countryside within reach and a market town behind you.
What made Paddock Walk distinctive within the Remmus portfolio was the range built across a single small site. Eight plots, six individually named house types, two to four bedrooms. The Beacon, The Chanctonbury, The Clayton, The Ditchling, The Firle, and The Kingston: each named after a Sussex landmark, each a distinct design rather than a variant of a single template.
The architecture across all eight draws from the same local vernacular: Wienerberger brick, Sandtoft roof tiles, tile hanging and oak-framed car barns. Traditional in character on the exterior; the interiors were another proposition entirely.
Kitchens individually designed by Windmill Kitchens, with Quooker taps, Blanco sinks, and Bosch appliances throughout. Havwoods oak flooring to ground floor living spaces. Little Greene Slaked Lime to walls and woodwork. Crosswater sanitaryware with Mandarin Stone tiling. Samsung air source heat pumps, underfloor heating to ground floors, and EV charging to every plot.
Paddock Walk is sold.
